Elena Le Claire: Bio
Contemporary Magical Realism Artist
Elena Le Claire (Purgina)was born and raised in Novokuznetsk, Siberia, where life was simple, but imagination knew no limits. From an early age, she found joy and freedom through art. Recognizing her creative spark, her father enrolled her in a local art school, an inspiring environment led by working artists who nurtured individuality while providing a strong artistic foundation. It was there that Elena’s artistic journey began to flourish.
Growing up during Perestroika, amid political and economic uncertainty, Elena found refuge in creativity and learned early how imagination could become a source of strength and self-expression. She had the privilege of studying under accomplished Soviet artists, an experience that left a lasting influence on her artistic foundation and one for which she remains deeply grateful.
In the early 2000s, Elena immigrated to the United States in pursuit of the life she had always dreamed of. Years later, she fulfilled another long-held dream by moving to Florida, where the ocean, dramatic sunsets, tropical landscapes, and ever-changing relationship between light, water, and sky became profound influences on her artistic vision.
In 2026, she graduated from the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program, a transformative experience that helped her break through fear and limitation while refining a deeply authentic artistic voice. Her work has since evolved into a distinctive visual language rooted in Contemporary Magical Realism, combining oil painting and mixed media to create immersive visual experiences centered on symbolism, intuition, transformation, and emotional storytelling.
Through her art, Elena explores the invisible connection between imagination, emotion, and the deeper forces that shape human experience. Her work is rooted in the belief that we are all capable of rising beyond limitation and remembering the creative force within us that allows us to live fully, courageously, and authentically.

Artist's Statement
Art is how I remember the magic the world tried to make me forget.
For me, painting has never been simply about creating an image. It is a way of reconnecting with something deeper — a quiet space where emotion, memory, intuition, and wonder begin to take form beyond words.
After spending many years working in the structured world of technology, returning to art became a profound turning point in my life. What began as a personal search for reconnection gradually evolved into something far greater: a process of integrating every part of my life experience — past, present, logic, intuition, struggle, healing, and the many unseen moments that have shaped who I am becoming.
Through my art, I seek to capture the magic and beauty woven into the world around us — the moments we often overlook, the invisible connections we feel but cannot always explain, and the quiet reminders that there is far more to life than what we immediately see.
I believe art has the power to create moments of stillness in a world that moves too fast. My hope is that each painting offers more than something simply seen — that it invites reflection, awakens emotion, and reconnects us with a deeper sense of wonder, presence, joy and possibility.
Every painting I create carries the intention of becoming more than an image —
but a lasting emotional presence.
