Elena Le Claire was born and raised in Novokuznetsk, a city in Siberia where life was simple, but her imagination had no limits. From a young age, she found joy and freedom in art. Seeing her creative spark, her father enrolled her in the local Art School—an inspiring hub run by working artists who nurtured individuality and provided both guidance and materials. It was there that Elena’s artistic soul truly began to flourish.
Growing up during Perestroika, amid her country’s political and economic turmoil, Elena found solace in her creative world. Her favorite teacher, Sergey Nikolaevich Yakunin, left a lasting impression with his passion and dedication to both art and teaching—planting seeds of courage and expression that would guide her for life.
In the early 2000s, Elena immigrated to the United States to build the life she had always dreamed of. Few years ago, she fulfilled a long-held goal by moving to Florida, where the beaches, parks, and radiant sunsets now serve as her endless source of inspiration.
In 2024, she joined the Mastery Art Program at the Milan Art Institute, a transformative experience that helped her breakthrough fears and limitations to find her true artistic voice.
Through her art, Elena reconnects with her inner child—embracing joy, wonder, and freedom. Her work is rooted in the belief that we are all meant to rise above challenges and live life fully, creatively, and fearlessly.

Artist Statement
My work begins with a feeling—something quiet, almost unexplainable—that asks to be seen.
I am drawn to the moment just before expression, where emotion gathers beneath the surface and light begins to emerge from within. The faces I paint are not portraits of individuals, but reflections of inner states—introspection, longing, awakening, and transformation.
There is a sense of upward movement throughout my work—a reaching, a listening, a soft surrender to something beyond the visible. These moments exist as thresholds, where the external world recedes and a deeper awareness takes form.
Color is my primary language. Through luminous, expressive palettes—deep blues, radiant magentas, and warm, diffused light—I translate what cannot be spoken. Light is not simply illumination; it is presence. It lives within the figure and expands beyond it.
My process is intuitive and layered. I build, disrupt, and reveal, allowing each painting to evolve organically. Traces of earlier gestures remain embedded in the surface, creating a sense of movement and emotional depth—each piece becoming a record of both transformation and time.
After many years working in the world of technology, I returned to painting as a way to rediscover a more intuitive and essential part of myself. What began as a personal journey of healing evolved into a practice centered on connection—first inward, then outward.
My paintings function as mirrors—quiet, contemplative spaces that invite the viewer to pause, to feel, and to reconnect with a deeper sense of presence. Within a collection, they offer an evolving experience, revealing new layers of meaning over time.
Each work is created with the intention that it becomes more than an image—
but a lasting emotional presence.

Elena Le Claire is a Contemporary Magical Realist painter whose work explores inner transformation through light, color, and emotion. Existing between figuration and abstraction, her paintings are not portraits of individuals, but reflections of psychological and emotional states—moments of awakening, introspection, and becoming.
Her work inhabits a liminal space where the visible world becomes a gateway to deeper perception.
