Elena Le Claire :Bio
Elena Le Claire was born and raised in Novokuznetsk, a city in Siberia where life was simple, but her imagination had no limits. From a young age, she found joy and freedom in art. Seeing her creative spark, her father enrolled her in the local Art School—an inspiring hub run by working artists who nurtured individuality and provided both guidance and materials. It was there that Elena’s artistic soul truly began to flourish.
Growing up during Perestroika, amid her country’s political and economic turmoil, Elena found solace in her creative world. Her favorite teacher, Sergey Nikolaevich Yakunin, left a lasting impression with his passion and dedication to both art and teaching—planting seeds of courage and expression that would guide her for life.
In the early 2000s, Elena immigrated to the United States to build the life she had always dreamed of. Nine years ago, she fulfilled a long-held goal by moving to Florida, where the beaches, parks, and radiant sunsets now serve as her endless source of inspiration.
In 2024, she joined the Mastery Art Program at the Milan Art Institute, a transformative experience that helped her breakthrough fears and limitations to find her true artistic voice.
Through her art, Elena reconnects with her inner child—embracing joy, wonder, and freedom. Her work is rooted in the belief that we are all meant to rise above challenges and live life fully, creatively, and fearlessly.
Artist Statement
My work is an exploration of light, emotion, and the invisible magic that lives beneath the surface of everyday life. Through painting, I weave together realism and abstraction to create surreal visual stories that speak to memory, intuition, and inner transformation.
My paintings often feature feminine figures, flowers, landscapes, and symbolic elements that exist between worlds—where the seen and unseen meet. These images are not intended as literal portraits or places, but as emotional landscapes that invite the viewer inward, into a space of reflection, exploration, and feeling.
Color is my primary language. I use luminous, expressive palettes to evoke emotion before thought, allowing the work to be experienced intuitively rather than intellectually. Each piece is built through layers—painted, textured, scraped, and revealed. My thick, expressive brushstrokes are meant to carry energy on the canvas, mirroring the way identity, healing, and self-discovery unfold over time.
My artistic journey is deeply personal. After many years working in the world of technology, I returned to painting as a way to rediscover myself—to heal and reconnect with my inner child, creativity, and sense of wonder. Art became both a homecoming and a transformation. My work embraces a surreal sensibility, looking beyond the surface of the visible world to reveal deeper emotional and spiritual truth.
I see my paintings as mirrors—gentle invitations to pause, to feel, to be present, and to remember who we are beneath the noise of everyday life. We are love, light, peace, and beauty. Whether displayed in a private collection or a shared space, my hope is that each piece becomes a source of emotional resonance and inspiration—something that continues to unfold, revealing new meaning over time.
